San Antonio, TX | +1. Ive been seeing AT&T work near our house lately. They recently just spray painted a big rectangle on the ground? Maybe is where they are going to dig and pour concrete for a DSLAM cabinet? for the fiber they just layed down? I really hope so. |

| They have actually been doing some work out my way as well. Coincidence. I got a letter saying DSL was now available the other day, I checked the website and called, they said it's still not available, lol. At this point I give up, fuck all of them. I'll have moved already by the time it ever makes it out to my house now, which I'm planning to do within a year.

| Nope! Time Warner cable lines stop down our road, about half a mile away from my house and 15 other homes. At&t DSL isn't anywhere even nearby, and U-Verse at the closest point is about 2 miles away from my house. Yea you're right I'm really close to Canal and only about 20 miles out from Columbus, it's quite pathetic actually that so little of the area is covered.

Why not get LTE from Verizon before they start capping it? Even if you don't have service now, they plan on having 96-98% of the US covered by 2013, so you're bound to have it soon. |

| I considered this option, LTE actually covers the west half of my town, go figure I live in the eastern half. What's the date on their new data plans? I've already thought about this option, may do that soon. |

Well, congratulations! AT&T will soon provide you with upgraded DSL deployed on last-generation copper wiring! And then they'll call it U-verse, made with 100% fiber! Isn't that lovely?
Sarcasm aside, it's rather sad when we Americans get excited about a telco deploying shitty FTTN, that can only reach speeds of 24/3.. Meanwhile the folks in East Asia are enjoying their 100/100 symmetrical connections for $40.  |

AT&T->SBC->Southwestern Bell has been saying since 1998 that DSL is coming. The CO has been wired for 13 years but they haven't bothered putting any RTs close enough to matter. I'm about 21,000 feet from the CO to which I'm connected. Of course there are three other COs that are very close but they were added for businesses. I think they are pure fiber. |

They're implementing them July 7. I'm thinking about locking in a 2 year contract myself since my family's already on Verizon. I guess the one plus side of Verizon's caps is that the network will never slow down now. |

Sorry but the unlimited plan has always only applied to smartphone use. If you want to use Verizon for data on a PC or somethig like that it's always been capped. $50 for 5 GB and $80 for 10 GB with $10 per GB overgage. |
