Re: [Other] Straight Talk allowing REAL smartphones on their net quote: I'm not shocked at all. How many people are going to buy a Nokia phone and an iPhone to get a better deal on monthly service?
Me? And obviously ALOT of other people.
quote: The Nokia was $200
Its $200 in store, $169 on website. And yes it is a little up front costs but it beats getting stuck paying what you would if you went to AT&T or Verizon directly. Go price compare the same plan and get back to me if it even comes close to $45/month (not sure where you got $15 savings?)
quote: and a new iPhone can cost up to $900.
lol $900? Where you getting these prices? A unlocked iPhone 4 32GB probably ain't even that high used.
quote: A used iPhone is a crapshoot when bought from ebay or craigslist.
Not if you buy from a trusted seller on eBay, and if you buy on Craigslist, you get to test the product before you buy.
quote: That's going to cost a lot of upfront money many people can't afford just to save about $15 monthly from their phone bill.
I never did say it was going to be cheap upfront, but it pays for itself over time pretty damn quickly. And again--where you getting only $15 in savings? Go screen grab a AT&T/Verizon monthly price (On top of possibly having to put down a multi hundred dollar deposit, PLUS an ETF.)
quote: Some carriers are charging only $60 monthly for what they call unlimited everything. Just bring a phone with a sim card.
1.) What "some carriers" would this be?
2.) Yea buy the phone outright which will come out to about the same price as you would setting up a Straight Talk account with the iPhone of choice.
quote: Besides, not everyone wants an iphone, including me.
Then why bother replying to the thread in the first place? And if you actually read the thread in my OP its not just limited to the iPhone.
quote: I agree that if you go to ATT with your iphone they will rape you with all of their charges and the monthly bill with the $45 data charge. But ATT is offering the first gen iphone for as low as $19 for existing customers with a 2 year contract
First gen iPhone? What? lol AT&T sells only the iPhone 3GS and 4, and as far as I'm aware they sell the 3GS 8GB for $49.99. And yet again..you get stuck in a pricy contract with a lower level of service options.

Have you even clicked the link in my OP? Look at the view count on that thread or take notice at least to how many pages there are, and how active that thread is for how old it is.

What?

lol I can go find a random website to that will have an over priced product to make other people think I'm right. I never even heard of that website.

That's all you have to say for everything you quoted from me? As far as your screen grab goes, what iPhone is that? Not that it matters anyway because what I have been trying to tell you is that staying in a high priced contract with AT&T for 2 years is retarded as you get the EXACT same service as I do using Straight Talk WITH unlimited text and voice for ALOT cheaper. You still haven't replied back with a answer to that.
