[Cable] Something wrong with my internet connection...?

So I recently did a line quality test on my connection to see if there were any problems. While I was able to pass the hop loss analysis tests, the bandwidth stream tests showed a ton of loss. Is this something that I should be worried about, or is this perhaps just "phantom loss"?

If you are not experiencing any issues, you look OK.

Well actually I am experiencing huge issues with my ISP. Multiple times every day I get messages in my cable modem's log showing T3 timeout errors and Unicast Ranging Requests being attempted. Our internet connection goes out/is disrupted every time a T3 timeout occurs, even though our cable modem shows all of the lights active as they should be. This makes playing online gaming impossible whenever the problem occurs, and reliability in general is obviously much lower.

• Can you post your MODEM's signals?

• Do you have a router in the mix?

• This is usually a bad upstream transmit path. The upstream transmit should be below 55 dBmV when connected.

I've been in contact with Charter Direct here on the forums over the past few days, and they believe that it's an upstream SNR issue. The modem itself is fine, as is the router, but something where in the provider's network service is causing the issue. That could be either a faulty line, node, hardware box, etc...it could be almost anything!

Exactly. That is why I said "This is usually a bad upstream transmit path".
