Re: [HN9000] Can't get to sites dude, no shit this one: had a friend who lives close to my ex's house that has hughesnet. she had a problem, so i said i'd come have a look for obvious problems. i took the modem to the pole to see if the cables might be bad and no internet. took it back in the house and no internet. i was pissed, and got on the phone to tech support and he said the signal had been degrading for a month and when i power-cycled the modem, something went out. she had to call for a work order and ended up paying $125 for a service call, and it took me a week to get the parts in to fix it. i felt bad for her, but how was i to know. weird shit sometimes, but funny when you're not the one it happened to. |
