I'm in a former Adelphia area. When I do a tracerout it goes through Staunton (not far from the other guy from Waynesboro area.)

About a month ago I was upgraded from 6/1 to 8/2 at no charge (so far).

joepwpb are you sure that your area doesn't have docsis 3.0. you live about 10 miles north from my house and i have docsis 3.0. my three aunts 9-15 miles north of my house has docis 3.0. i hope you don't have a dinosaur cable modem

Yes as far as I can determine. Unless there is a concrete way to verify.

No, not on the economy package. I have a SB5100 and my IP address and download speeds have not changed.

A 5100 can't reveal multiple channel bonding.

I am aware of that. I was expecting a change of IP address or a notice from Comcast but neither happened. The web site to check for D3 availability now only has a video and a telephone number to call. I have yet to call or purchase a D3 modem just to determine if it is available.

Thanks

WIW, a change of your WAN (public) IP addy would not necessarily accompany an upgrade to D3 on your system.

So, the only way would be to get a confirmation via telephone or purchase a modem and wait for it show channel bonding?

You could post in the Comcast Direct Forum and SteveTeow See Profile should be able to easily tell you if your system has been upgraded to D3.

Yes, I could but that forum appears to be for difficult to resolve technical issues, not a I wanna, I wanna.

I know how that is I live in a VERY rural area, I'm not even in a town, though there is a VERY tiny, unincorporated town of Redwood Valley about a mile from me.

Sounds like my neighborhood. Heck I'm usually the one calling in trouble reports. People out here are happy to get tv signals pumped into their house, even if the picture is crappy. lol
Same goes for internet.

Even though we're a very rural area, many here are pretty tech savvy.

I've not seen any formal announcement in the Brunswick/Topsham, ME area. However, we have had it running for about two weeks (around April 1st) judging from the appearance of bonding on my SB6120.

No D3 here in Allen Park, MI or anywhere Downriver (South of Detroit), nor in many parts E/W/N of Detroit that I am aware of except Hazel Park and a couple of other cities I think.

Not sure what the ETA is. Last time I talked to someone I know that is "in the know" I was told Feb 11th and then end of 2011...so I don't know any more.

Albuquerque / Los Lunas, NM market checking in with no D3. Hell, we were just upgraded to D2 a little over a year ago.
