sjolley2 join:2002-02-20 Thousand Oaks, CA | Class Action anyone? Transitioning from Sprint ION in Ca has been a nightmare and incredibly costly. Is anyone out there considering a class action or interested in joining should I pursue this?
I have lost upwards of $10,000 dealing with all of this and want to be compensated. Sandy |

Suing Sprint is not going to solve your problems, or the industry's or the public's for that matter. -- Darkflight |

I'm sure that in the terms of service it says that they are not responsible for lost wages. -- Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate. |

sjolley2 join:2002-02-20 Thousand Oaks, CA | reply to Darkflight Sprint offered compensation but I had to have my letterhead, business cards and all documentation for my business reprinted because I could not keep the sprint ion number although they said I could. Reprinting =$800.00, installing new phone service with Verizon = $350.00 in part because the sprint ion number was never with another provider. Earthlink DSL networking and connection = $325.00 and on and on. I got a compensation check as you say of 236.00 - it does not even begin to cover the breach of contract on Sprint's part - for my 2 year contract. Not to mention the hours of being on the phone with Sprint, Verizon and Earthlink about Sprint releasing the numbers so that I could switch. Do I sound angry - yes, I am. |

sjolley2 join:2002-02-20 Thousand Oaks, CA | reply to sjolley2 It is not the terms of service that are in question. It is the way Sprint has mis-handled the transition without a thought for taking care of it's loyal customers that went through the initial phases with the ion start up. Don't blame the innocent customer for Sprint's poor planning or unwillingness to see what needs to be done and do it. |

KevinPremium,VIP,ExMod 2002-04 join:2001-08-19 Meriden, CT | I'm not blaming anyone, Sprint should have done a much better job at moving over there existing customers. What I'm trying to say is that a class action won't work. -- Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate. |

 | reply to sjolley2 It goes beyond that. Class actions don't compensate the class for the problems they have. If you really want compensation, a regular old lawsuit would have a better chance of getting you compensated. That said, that won't work either. In any case, you aren't up to $1000 yet, I don't see how it could be $10000. |
