D2 or D3 ... you will not get more than your provisioned speed and PB works just fine. The myth that somehow a D3 will modem will be "faster" (than your provisioned tier) just keeps going and going. |

 | I think that myth is perpetuated by people like me. I upgraded from a Terayon tj715x to a Motorola sb6120 and saw my download speeds go up by about 50%. I suppose it's possible the problem was just the config file on the old modem. |

Anyways, a D3 modem might do better in situations with congestion of the channels that prevents you from getting provisioned speed. If you get provisioned speed, then don't worry about it. |
