We have a 7000/512 with EL via TW. (Much of TW in USA is 7000/384 std.) We use the service similar to you with no downside and we are satisfied.
Additional note: a couple of years ago I read that some areas of Texas (where TW was providing service) were subject to unusually low usage caps. Don't know if that was a trial or actually in the TOS.
We can save about $225 the first year by switching over to Earthlink from Verizon. I'm going to call Verizon next week and see if they will negotiate price down. If not, then i'll have to serisly think about switching over.
