How can it be spying. I have been running the box(Linksys router with custom firmware) in the UK for the last few months. IT does not monitor your web traffic, it just carries out tests at certain times of the day. I can then go to a website(»reporting-uk.samknows.com/) and get reports on all aspects of my internet connection.
Also the company name is a coincidence. Samknows started out in the UK and the US FCC tests is a very recent thing.
