Re: Cisco 887VW - Qwest VDSL product - anyone have it working?

I never got certified. I've just been setting up Cisco Pix firewalls, switches, and routers at work and at home for 10 years or so.

I expect PPP to still be on the dialer interface the same as it was on the 877. Instead of the ATM interfaces like ATM0 and ATM0.3 it has the ethernet0 interface as you noted.

So, I'd expect an "ethernet 0" interface and also an ethernet0.x sub interface which has the dialer interface and encapsulation specified. The dialer interface has your pppoe user and password.

If you want to pm me your config file (with anything sensitive replaced with xxxxxxxx's) then I can see if there's anything I can spot that looks out of place.

I won't have mine until next week so won't be able to troubleshoot or get too specific until next week though.

Did you use the Cisco configuration Professional utility to create the configuration?

I found this example config, perhaps it'll help.

Bingo - that example got me working! That was quite the example - where did you find it? Happy to share my code with you. The key was the ethernet 0 subinterface. THANKS!
