Re: Best way to remove new construction gang box I wasn't aware of them. All of the existing cat3 and RG6 lines in the house have full boxes on them.
I'll see if I can find those. I'm dropping in 8 CAT5e lines to the opening so an open box would be easier. |

MichailPremium join:2000-08-02 Boynton Beach, FL kudos:1 | reply to Nick_L I found them at Home Depot. For whatever reason Lowes doesn't seem to carry them in store. These things should make the job 10x easier. |

Nick_LPremium join:2003-01-22 Pittsburgh, PA | There are plenty of different options out there, both metal and plastic, but if the one you found will work, thats all you need. I can't speak to your local codes, just remember, low voltage only. with regard to faceplates, any standard faceplate should fit those rings. |

Yes standard covers will fit if you are installing plugs/switches but I could find none in double wide that had the snap in holes for cat5 connectors or Coax. -- The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits. |

| Thanks, Nick_L, I did look on Monoprice when I was buying the "stuff" for my new house but did not see these there. Would have made the wiring closet a little neater. -- The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits. |

MichailPremium join:2000-08-02 Boynton Beach, FL kudos:1 | reply to Nick_L Great price also. They're about $2 less per jack compared to Home Depot. Too bad I ordered U-verse spur of the moment and have to get the job done this weekend. |
