Re: Even as Equal Speeds nears, Bell Fib 16 looks tempting said by El Quintron:said by kovy:said by grunze510:As of right now, TekSavvy has an $8 max overcharge on DSL and $12 max overcharge on cable (in Ontario only ). Teksavvy has overcharge? I know they have unlimited accounts, but that's not overcharge... Bell has no unlimited and overcharge on all it's product. If you're on premium, or the capped cable offerings you would have to pay overages. What grunze510 is saying is that those are max overages. Huh? Bell has a max overcharge of 30$ on every product. So whatever you download, once your at 30$ you can't go over. Teksavvy has no MAX overcharge (not talking about unlimited accounts), so if you go over monthly limit, there's just no end to what the amount can end up.
Teksavvy is not gonna switch your account from premium to unlimited just because you surpassed the price of unlimited. |

| They do however average your costs over two months effectively halving whatever over charges you would get.
So: You use 300 GB this month, and 150 GB next month; putting you at 450 GB. At the end of the two months you would only pay overages on 50 GB at 25 cents a gig....
So: your overages would cap out at $12.50 which is much less than Bell would ever charge you. -- Everything in Moderation... including moderation. |

But still, not overcharge... which also was the main argument of the debate.
But to go back on your first point, which was Bell having low caps... which isn't really true. What's more accurate would be how expensive it is to get a certain "unlimited" from Bell. |
