Cortland, OH | On occasion someone will try to create a new membership for the sole purpose of "spamming" other members. Once reported, these members are quickly shut off. In the 10 years, or so, I've been around, it's happened only a couple of times. The limitation on unsolicited IMs seems to keep things pretty-much in check... but there have been a few determined idiots who test the system, and rarely an outbreak occurs. With over a million active members, I surprised the system works as well as it does.
