RR slow tonight?

Is anyone noticing the Road Runner slowing to a crawl tonight? I'm on 30/5 and my ping is 335ms and .06Mb/s up. WTF? 75039 zip

... and i thought one of the windows updates caused trouble.
Checked a different box ,Ubuntu, and it is RR's net.
Something's not right at their end.

it's not Road Runner, it's Level3 - they're having either work done, or the hamster died.

I really do wish, TWC would get a better tier 1 provider level 3 is very bad.

Yepp, looks like Level3 in Dallas dropped the ball. Pinging from a verizon fios line shows no problems for the rest of the world.

Having problem here too. South Carolina to anywhere is slow. Tried all on east coast and got slow results. One would think that RR would route around a problem in Dallas? Ah well, I admit that I don't have all the information yet. But I admit that RR is slow, too!

4.59.32.25 - thats where my latency goes to hell when i ping any address, for some reason i'm being sent there, which is probably overloaded. usually i go thru NYC to Newark and then out of the east coast on level 3's backbone.

Level3 is a Tier 1 provider, which basically is a global ISP, which companies like roadrunner and others buy bandwidth from and such. read up on tier 1 providers its a pretty interesting read

In SoCal, Ventura County it is horrible. .5 Mbps and extremely high latency coupled with at least 50% packet loss. This sucks. Hopefully they get this straightened out by the time i wake up.

San Bernardino County 91762 also crippled at this time. Ouch.

Just came back up for me. Tried multiple sites and a speakeasy test and got 30Mbps down. Good times again. Now off to bed.
