 | Central MO Service Droppages I live outside of Warrensburg, MO and for the last four days we have had intermittent loss of DSL service. This tends to happen from 3pm until about 2am as far as we can tell. Randomly we will either get 404 errors on our network or the connection failed page from our router telling us to call ctl. During this time all of the required lights are still on the router but nothing as far as internet access. Called tonight and evidently got someone with a cursory knowledge of the system at best. Problem occurs regardless of the router I am using or if I am attached to the modem directly. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to post. |

Jeffo join:2009-08-25 Downing, WI | Hi Cambrose,
I live in West Central Wisconsin and I've been having some issues since Friday night that sound similar. On Friday night my ping went from 60ms to about 1600ms for about an hour, and then it went back down. Ever since there are certain website I can't get to.
For example: I can get to google or yahoo just fine, but I can't get to Amazon. If I do a tracert to yahoo I can get there in about 10 hops and the hops result back normally. If I do a tracert to Amazon I get about 4 hops and then everything bombs out. It looks to me like a router/routing issue either just before or at lightcore. |
|
 | Same here. (w central wi) Some websites work, some don't. Can't access dslreports.com from home. Also can't get through to amazon. Tracert seems to die after the 3rd hop:
Tracing route to dslreports.com [209.123.109.175] over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms router [10.0.0.127] 2 20 ms 18 ms 105 ms lcrsalcobr5.lcrswicoro1.centurytel.net [69.29.18 1.15] 3 16 ms 23 ms 15 ms ae-0-0-j1-rt.lax.centurytel.net [207.119.244.129] 4 * * * Request timed out. |

 | reply to cambrose Same here. The pages work today, but my pings are still absolutely awful. It should NOT take information 60ms to reach Chicago. PingTest also shows that my line had been dropped from an A to B. It's been this way since early Sunday. |

siech0 join:2001-03-20 Warrensburg, MO | reply to cambrose I'm in Warrensburg, and report no issues at all. Doesn't really help you but figured I'd let you know it's not affecting all of Warrensburg. |

 | reply to brent576 The websites work again. Whatever it was, it looks like they found the problem. |
|
 | reply to siech0 Mine still isn't working, but my neighbor's stuff is working completely fine. Could streaming netflix several hours a day tear up or show the weakness in a potentially bad modem? Resets don't fix anything. |

|
 | The equipment is four months old if that. I got DSL when it first became available to me in May. |
