I find great amusement in the people who think all you have to do is get married to become a resident, along with those who don't know the cost of becoming a legal resident for those here illegally, the forms alone are over $1,500 to file. There is a lot more paperwork and money involved in becoming a resident, simply getting married doesn't do it.
