Re: [OT] Crazy Traffic Depends where you happen to be and what's going on any given time of day.
I drive to work during the summer when school is out. From the Bronx to Downtown Brooklyn it takes just under 50 min door to door, and this is for a mere 13-mile drive.
When school is in session this same drive can take up to 90 minutes.
I refuse to take mass transit during the summer. It's more convenient to drive in, I don't have to pray for a seat on my way to Brooklyn, don't have to deal with cranky bitches or loud assholes, and if nothing goes wrong on the FDR it's actually quicker by car to/from Bronx and Brooklyn.
Anyone driving through Manhattan and having the expectation of a smooth drive without any construction, some asshole pinned to a lamp post or tree, or the distracted texter driving well below speed limit needs not to drive there. Only massochists or self-proclaimed VIPs don't care about that hassle. |
