Re: If you have the 20/2 - 25/4 speeds now, post here Signed up for Performance tier, but acts more like the Blast! one:

Mod Note: Since you are paying for Performance Tier, this is likely an indication you have a nice initial powerboost. This isn't what we're reporting in this topic, however. We're looking for evidence of an upgraded sustained speed for Blast customers. |

1. Location of reporter [Believe i have done this] 2. Confirmation you are paying for Blast tier (20/4 tier could just be an indication of "up to" or PowerBoost speed estimates. [how do you want me to confirm?] 3. A better indication of sustained speed provision (ShaperProbe, for instance, see post below this) [shaperprobe results.] |

Re: Blast -- If you have the 20/2 - 25/4 speeds now, post here Looked at my bill today (now paying $50/mo for Blast with my own modem and a $20 discount). One page (right before Blast Extra, which according to the promo text is the same price as off-promo Blast) says that speeds for Performance and Blast will increase by 25% sometime during the next billing cycle. That would put Performance at 15M down and Blast at 25M.
I'll do some ShaperProbe tests to see whether the speed upgrades have gone into effect, but they'll have to wait until friends are done playing Battlefield 3 (so I can reboot my SB6120 and Engenius ESR9850). I'm going to guess I'm getting 25/3 though. |

SB6120, 4 channels bonded downstream, 2 upstream (one 16QAM, one 64QAM). Router is an Engenius ESR9850 (gigabit, 802.11n). Tested while hard-wired, though my IdeaPad tops out at 100M.
Comcast speed test says I peak at ~38.9 Mbps for download, ~6.3 Mbps for uploads. Personally I'd rather have the extra few Mbps (one Mbps after PowerBoost) on uploads of Ultra, but they don't do that tier for residential anymore, and even if hey did I'm not willing to pay $80 per month after promos expire for such a connection.
Hopefully Comcast Business will get some sped bumps soonish. |
