Re: Week"end" Projects If the gas service is sufficiently sized for the demand, I'd go with the Natural Gas option vs.Diesel.
You would eliminate bulky Fuel storage tank(s), and the associated problems with long-term storage of Diesel Fuel (or #2 Heating Oil)... 
Also, you wouldn't have to worry about running out of Natural Gas in the event of an Extended power outage...
