For no experience and basically unskilled labor $11/h CA$H sounds right. I live in CT and I can use ummm.... "daily laborers from south of the border" for $100/day - and they do everything, from digging to moving rocks, painting, cleaning... almost without a break.
I`m pretty skilled and not from Mexico lol =-) 100 bucks a day for 8 hours of work is 12.50 an hour. I`m cheaper than Mexicans!
