no need for--nor justification for--any cap Comcrap's initial reason for having a cap was that a power-user could degrade other users' experience on the same node. That is no longer the case, and hasn't been since October/November of 2008.
Comcrap has been using load balancing technology to address high bandwidth users during periods of congestion, so it is now impossible for any one user to disrupt the use of others on the node.
Caps and meters are smoke and mirrors put into place to protect the
possible probable move to metered billing.
