I think he was adding the 2 GSM cell carriers in Canada(Bell & Rogers) to T-Mobile & AT&T since the poster was from Canada. But it won't be 3G except on T-Mobile. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. | Yep, writing something up now. They've made some nice progress since the beginning of 2008. Will be nice to see 21 Mbps HSPA+! |

Re: Nexus One I was thinking the same thing. But again, even if it's custom made for T-Mobile particular flavor of HSDPA, it won't via anything other than AT&T's EDGE network.... |

So looks like T-Mobile is only one offering this phone at first. As well as Google selling it unsubsidized.
$530 unlocked, $180 with T-Mobile plan.
Verizon CDMA version coming in the Spring.
Vodaphone in the EU later in the year and then Asia. |

And Android 2.1 available to all manufacturers in a couple days. BUT it could be a long time before they(the manufacturers) upgrade the OS on older phones like G1; Droid; etc. |

 | reply to Linklist The $400.00 question is, of course, if you finish your contract, will they unlock the phone? My guess, is of course, no. -- Remember 1 in 4 people are retarded. 25% of Americans are Republican. Coincidence? I don't think so. |

My guess, is of course, no. Comments and quotes from various sources says Phone is sold UNLOCKED from the get go. Just swap sim card at any time. Of course, if you terminate the T-Mobile contract early you will be hit with a $200 ETF. |

 | So, you get a $500.00 phone for 180, wait for them to change the terms of service, and cancel, and voila, you have a $400.00 ebay sellable phone? Sounds like a good plan. -- Remember 1 in 4 people are retarded. 25% of Americans are Republican. Coincidence? I don't think so. |

T-Mobiles termination fee is $200, and some users might be tempted to buy the T-Mobile version and terminate immediately, paying just $379 for the unlocked phone. Google says that users terminating too soon will be charged the full price of the phone, however. But even the T-Mobile version of the phone can be used overseas on trips by slipping in a different SIM. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page

My guess, is of course, no. With T-Mobile, you can request an unlock code after having 90 days of steady service payments.
On the first day I got the MT3G, I requested the unlock code. Got it within a week. I was upgrading so I had way more than 90 days already done. -- My Blog 2.0 |

Buyers beware: people who choose the subsidized new Google Nexus One phone with a T-Mobile contract will get hit with US$550 in early termination fees if they cancel their service in under four months.
That's because both Google and T-Mobile plan to charge buyers early termination fees. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page
