Re: [Other] [VOIP.MS] How do you block outgoing CID?
Outbound Caller ID blocking may be added later. However you can easily get around this problem. You have two phone lines on your Linksys PAP2T. Just add another VoIP.ms sub account to line 2 and make sure you do not add any number in the "CallerID Number" field on this sub account. When you need to make a call without showing your number you just use line 2 instead of line 1. -- Linksys IP Phone SPA962 - Gigaset S685IP VoIP.ms - Callcentric - Gigaset.net - Voxalot
But how often do you really need to make anonymous calls?
If you really need to make many calls hiding who you are you could sign up for Voxalot and add two VoIP.ms sub accounts to your Voxalot account. One sub account with your number in the Caller ID field and one sub account without your number in the Caller ID field. Use Voxalot "Smart Call List (Dial Plans)" to set up a few rules to route your calls through the sub account without Caller ID if you prefix the number with 10 (or anything else you prefer). If not prefixed by 10 your calls are routed through your sub account with your number in the Caller ID field.
This method works very well, I am using it myself. -- Linksys IP Phone SPA962 - Gigaset S685IP VoIP.ms - Callcentric - Gigaset.net - Voxalot
