If it's a 'replacement' you're fine EULA wise just as if you sent in a Dell for repair.

you can activate but you may have to call in to get it done.

depends

techicly you cant
but the OEM of your PC CAN issue a "replacement" mobo
IF your your own OEM.... you can see were this is going

bottom line youll have to call inda and ask to re-activate your copy
most of the time they will just lie and say your old board died

In this situation of reactivating my Newegged OEM license I'm asked by the robo system, "How many computers are currently running this copy if Windows (product name)?"

I answer "1".

"Thank you...Verified" and then I get the $tring.
