Blue-green splotches on fiberglass shower

My basement bathroom's shower has blueish green drip marks.
Less important, what causes this?
More important, how to remove it?

Thanks!

That's either old soap, or minerals leeching from the faucet handles. Is there a leak there? If not, I'd say soap. Elbow grease and a scrub brush.
If it is from a faucet leak, try some CLR.

The color resembles a patina that forms over brass or bronze. I would take the right handle off and make sure there isn't a leak in the handle somewhere.

I'm going with metal corrosion as well. My bathroom has something that looks very similar where water runs down from the bottom track of the shower door.

Looks like Head & SHoulders residue to me. Break out the scrubbing bubbles.

More important what causes it,less important how to remove it.That's acidic corrosion of copper pipes. You could be headed for major problems down the line, get your water tested.

Next time you are there, turn the water on and see if any water leaks out around or behind the handles, it looks like the valve steam seals on both taps are shot. Water that is trapped in the pipe between the shower head and valves is likely slowly leaking out and depositing the oxide.

Can’t say for sure but judging by the style of the handles, you probably can do the repair from the shower side once the handles are unscrewed and removed, you might have to unscrew the escutcheon (shiny chrome fitting that mates the valve to the shower cabinet - if you do have to pull them off, service one side at a time as this keeps everything aligned). While you are replacing the stem seals, do the valve seat o ring as well, they likely are just as hard and worn out.

13 years? Did you just find it accidentally by bumping into the candleabra next to the fireplace and swining around to the back side "al-la" Scooby Doo?

it's a bathroom in the basement, i knew it was there, but if I had to go a much nicer and cleaner bathroom was only a few steps away.

That's un-freaking real! Any other places in your house that you've never seen yet?? This could be the start of a new reality TV series----"Rooms Yet Unseen--What Could be in There??"

LOL!
Hey, it's a basement bathroom...a bit on the gross side.
It's there, I know it, but do I want to go inside the room? Why? For what purpose?
((Okay, there might be a slight exaggeration...I think I may have stepped inside the room, once or twice for a second or two, but never looked at the shower stall, which was hidden behind the opened door))

Copper corrosion. Check your water or you may end up swimming in the basement.
