Finally Cancelled Vonage

I've had their service with the UT Starcomm F1000 wi-fi phone since it first came out, and used to be very pleased. However, the phone's lack of browser-based authentication has prevented me from using it in hotels for a while now. Vonage said they had no plans to upgrade the phone, and I didn't want to be tied to a laptop for phone calls, so I had to cancel after years and years of great service.

If only they would come out with a wi-fi phone....

What are you going to use instead?

Both in terms of phone service and in terms of phone device?

Corollary: Have you considered BYOD providers?

What PX Eliezer said. There are alternatives, especially if you have a configurable (unlocked) device. Depending on your circumstances and needs they can be quite cost effective.

At the moment, I'm looking for a VOIP program for my Touch Pro 2 phone. Hopefully, I'll be able to use its wi-fi capabilities. Vonage does not support it, but they might some day.

Thanks. I've been looking at those links. Nothing works for me so far. Calling Europe for free is one of the things I need, and Vonage provided that very well.
