Asking for support with an open source project here due to not having the hardware to troubleshoot this on. »www.fogproject.org (free open source ghosting) We are looking to PXE boot a new NIC but have run into a few roadblocks in the process. I'm asking here to see if anyone happens to have the time to compile a new kernel / bzimage for us who has the Atheros AR8132 chipset on a netbook. Without the hardware I have no way of diagnosing / testing / etc. I know it's a long shot but does someone happen to have a bit of time to help out? DeHackEd Bill Ate Tux's Rocket join:2000-12-07	Do-it-yourself kernel compiling isn't hard. Even so, there's other options. Many distros (centos and/or fedora qualify) have pre-built PXE-bootable images. Use pxelinux as your TFTP bootloader, use vmlinuz/initrd provided by the distro, an HTTP server to serve the installation DVD contents, and boot in rescue mode. A bit of a hassle for first time setup, but the same system allows for PXE installation, memtest86 can be run this way, etc. -- That's odd...
