I've used Audacity to make digital recordings from old cassette tapes and I've used it to digitize vinyl records with excellent results.
For me, I haven't found a better program.

If your needs are simple there is an editor within "exact audio copy". EAC works well for me and is so simple you don't get lost in all the options of the fancy programs. |
