| Sounds like you got put on an interleaved mode when you had line issues. I'll bet they didn't take you off that once they fixed the problem.
You don't say which modem you have but if you look #9 this FAQ it will help you to get to your line stats, part of which will show if you are on Fast or Interleaved mode..... »Pacbell FAQ » What information do you need in order to help me with my DSL problem?
If you are interleaved, then maybe you can call back in on your trouble ticket and get them to fix it or else you'll have to post here in the AT&T Direct forum and wait for a tech to get to your post. Here's a link to the Direct forum.... »/speak/sbcdire···A%3D%3D?
Note that AT&T Direct is a private forum so only you and the AT&T techs can see your thread. Also, the techs are usually pretty swamped with requests so be patient, they'll get to you as soon as they can. Since you have a working circuit they may bypass you to work on ones that are having problems.
Finally, don't reply to your AT&T Direct post until one of the techs has replied first. They look for unanswered threads so if they see any replies they may bypass yours, thinking someone else is helping you. |

| There is a way to get stats from the earlier 5100 but it's a bit involved. Here's the FAQ on how to set it up... »Ameritech - SBC FAQ »Funhouse info on the original 5100a Modem including how to get at line stats
You'd want to look at the syslogshow page. I'd say post in Direct and get in line because it's a really good possibility that you're on interleaved and they'll need to fix it. If you go through the procedure to get to the log and we find that you're on "fast" mode, we'll have to do more tests. |
