| Funny Moments....
I know there have been posts like this in the past, but instead of try and revive an old thread I figured I'd start a new one. It has been a good period of time since the last thread like this so I figure people will probably generated some new stories to share.
Yesterday, I was sitting outside the entrance to COT waiting for my group so I could do the daily. Went out for a smoke and returned to find a horde dk had popped his army and was just starting to engage my ally dk (who was sitting on the ground AFK). Unfortunately for him/her, I had just finished a 25 man and was still raid buffed. Got to my comp and my toon was at half health, turned around and 2 shot HS striked him and his army. Got a chuckle out of that. /teabag corpse.
n00b moment Later on I ran some new guild 80s through toc reg. Had a guild tank who is meh but good enough for that. Anyhow, on first pull tank dies and I immediatley aggro all mobs. Go to frost presence and was able to finish it off. As you can probably guess, I was wondering at the end of it all why I could not exceed 3.1k dps throughout. I'd only had 2 beer. Needless to say I also had significant aggro problems throughout the rest of the instance. You guessed it. Stayed in frost presence. At the end of it the new 80's were of course like 'OMG....Sick DPS man!!'. I manned up and revealed my own noobishness.

| While not super recent, I have a resto shammy, (lvl 78 now but fresh 60 then) and I was in the Barrens helping my sons lvl 20ish hunter and 3 ally DK's (65-70) were running amok. My son (who is 7) decided to attack, so I start healing him which flags me and they smoke us both fast. They stuck around and kept killing us and mocking us, so I got on my main (lock) and was in Org so I flew over and beat their asses repeatedly until they left. I was fun and my son had fun dancing with their dead bodies, so all in all it was pretty funny. -- »www.zetbit.com/ssig-986648.jpg

only a couple of days ago I logged on to check post and do a couple of dailys, I got a /w asking to heal in Ony 10 ! (I'm Holy Pala) great ! i get Raid Inv and summ within seconds ! bang im there staring at Ony quick raid buffing and RL details who im healing (OT), right click name, set focus ! ready check and go! I'm awesome ! this guys at full health and not even taking any damage ! Raid warning comes over Tank Dead, wipe it ! ??? WTF Id only set focus to the Raid leader (a mage with 20k health) instead of the OT.... que inquiery and healing count Galadreal 0 lol I was kicked before i could explain my mistake .. and to top it all off I still had my fishing rod in my hand the whole time ... they would have been sorry if I'd fished up Ony /
the other one a while back, a girl in our guild was fishing in WG (for the daily i think) and kept getting ganked by some Ally 80's, after it happened for the 4th time she asked on guild chat if anyone could come give her a hand .. i didnt reply but wasnt far so thought id give her a hand .. it seems 30 or so of our guild had the same idea no-one answered her but all popped along to lend a hand within 60 seconds 30 members of Team Average decended on the 4 Alliance players Life expectancy for them at that point was less than a second .. the girl who asked for help couldnt stop laughing ) |

2 edits | Well the only funny moment that comes to mind was a couple of months ago while running naxx and I get summoned to the stone and what do I see a tauren warrior standing close to the edge of the platform flagged, now I am on my ele Shaman so with a smile on my face i flag myself and I hit thunderstorm and enjoy the view see him fly off the platform everyone in vent was lol.
Almost forgot this one, my GF was questing in hellfire on her mage yesterday and this level 70 BE Dk was killing the quest giver so I jump on my hunter that was close by and killed him quick, also killed another DK that struck my pet accidently. so since I was there I decied to help my GF with a group quest not paying attention this 80 UD Shadow priest tries to gank me with the DK while my health was about 60%, traps and pet made quick work of the DK. Explosive, Black arrow and a couple of steady shots and the priest was dead. |

Long long ago in vanilla I was pvping in 49 bracket on my 49 Fury warr.
As you all know if youve bged much you very rarely get a good one on one fight. Mostly its uneven numbers on either your side or the other resulting in almost always losing the ground. So here I am and run upon a 49 Orc Shammy enhance. We start wailing on each other. Bang bang bang. Im getting the better of him, he runs into the hut we happened to be near and grabs the hot in there. Oops. I didnt even know there was one. Dang it I have to kill him even more now. So we fight some more. I bring him down. I dont have much health left (all it 15% now). I have his body still selected and I leave the hut. Suddenly on my screen theres this orc I just slaughtered alive again. Huh?? he comes out of the hut and kills me while im basically just sitting there going "wha? he cant do that!!" lol.
I had no idea shammies had reincarnate as we didnt have em at all on ally in vanilla. Good game to him. |

| You still got credit for that kill, he just came back and owned you, hah.
Similar thing happened to me on the warlock. Got owned, had myself soulstoned, came back and tossed a row of dots on the guy as he was attempting to leave. -- 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson - |

| reply to Derlos Ha ha Arch, that happened to me once in wg. Dk thought he had the better of the lock as i was lying quite dead in the snow. DK started running away from the scene to heal i suppose. I soulstoned, popped back and put 3 new dots on him. He ran for a bit, stopped, and turned around to look at me before dying. Back at ya! Funny for me because i could just imagine the choice language from the real life person behind the dk.
Note to others. In the first part of BG's always make sure locks remain dead. |

| I know when I finish off an affliction lock, I immediately try to leave combat and just hope to hell that the food out-heals the dots. | reply to Derlos When I was level 70 on my Warlock, I was doing arenas with my friend and we were queuing in Nagrand by the Arena. It was during Season 4, I was nearly in Full S4 at the time, which was pretty much as geared out as you could be for a lock at that time, I was rocking somewhere around 1400-1500 spellpower as the fabled "SL/SL" PvP spec. Which has some pretty powerful instant DoTs.
This 3's alliance team was queuing as well, and considering you exited the arena flagged, we kept getting into small little fights. One of them was a welfare geared mage at the time in various S1/S2 gear and she would keep attacking my friend who was a rogue, but not me. Finally, after one game, she came out and got on her flying mount and flew to the top roof of the arena and I followed. I already had a few DoTs on her and her health was ticking down to about 70%. (She had no buffs on). I flew up and redotted her with a trinket up, so I had about 1700-1800 SP DoTs ticking on her, and she didn't dismount. She flew off up really really high in the air.. and kepting flying more distant, well, the DoTs were quickly eating away her health until she finally died, she dismounted hundreds of feet in the air and fell for about maybe 6 long seconds to the ground. It was pretty funny.
One of those things you had to of been there to see how funny it was. |

| reply to Kevlar said by Kevlar :As you all know if youve bged much you very rarely get a good one on one fight. Confirmed. Back in BC I was taking a break from raiding while BGing on my semi-twink hunter in the 20's bracket. My guild wasn't into that so I started running with this guild called Twink That (horde's response to alliance's Twink This).
One time in WSG I came across this twink rogue in the middle of the field. I noticed him too late and while running I dropped a freezing trap. For those who don't play hunters when you drop a trap on the run animation of your toon is such that it looks like the toon is gliding on the ground in this squatting position. It's very distinct. The rogue saw that. Realizing there was a trap between us (he couldn't see it) he started circling around. I started doing the same. Trap duration is 30 seconds. We were running in a circle until it expired but since he couldn't see it he didn't know it was gone. I wasn't taking any chances with him and kept running around. He was in tow. Not a single person from either side interviened even though we were in the middle of the damn field. I don't remember how exactly that encounter ended, I just remember laughing my ass off while running around in a circle for good several minutes. -- "In a fight between you and the world, bet on the world." - Franz Kafka |

| reply to Derlos My funny experience happened last week.
Day of the Dead,People need Simple Flour and Ice Cold Milk,to do the achievement. I post some on AH for a profit.I say in trade,"Ice cold milk and Simple Flour on the AH." Person by the name of "Goldfather",goes into trade and responds with a "Really?".Then precedes to tell all of trade how I am a scammer.I whisper him and tell him if he has a problem with me to keep it outta trade and to STFU.He does'nt.So I tell him off and ignore him.Upon ignoring him,he is still in trade talking crap.Saying he is posting stuff on the AH to compete with mine.Which is fine, its a free market. He keeps talking crap though. So I log onto a alt and write a letter telling him off.
Fast forward to the next day.I log in and this Rogue is killing Storm Winds AH again...He must have never stopped killing it because he was doing it at the time "Goldfather" was talking crap.Anyway this toon by the name of "Phransis" is in trade bitching and moaning about the AH being killed,I whisper them to tell them the Rouge's name is "thegreyfox",and that he had been doing it for 12 hours straight.I WAS IMMEDIATELY IGNORED.... Let me say this,I am hardly ever ignored in this game, because I am nice to people.....I have been ignored maybe twice and it was months ago.So I immediately know who it was and log onto a alt lvl 1.
I whisper "Phransis".....Hello Goldfather....I say. To which I get the reply....."OMG Reported!"

| reply to Derlos My ToC10 pug... For some reason, ToC10 is ALWAYS very fast and very messy. This particular pug, the raid leader was clueless and kept saying random things. I had both tanks. 1 of the healers, and the hunter in my vent since "lol toc10 is ezmode no vent needed." We were bullshitting and making fun of the RL the whole time.
Enter FC (the four of us were laughing the whole time):
RL (a rogue): So, uhh, we'll kill all the melee first, I'll be on the mage interrupting him. Me: Why not a healer first? RL: OK, everyone kill the druid. Mage can you sheep the druid while we're killing him so he can't cast hots? Me: the warlock would be better. RL: Really? OK warlock can you banish the druid and mage can sheep the pally. Me: Why is the rogue on the mage? RL: Because I can interrupt him. Me: So who is kiting the DK and rogue? RL: Um, our healers will always have aggro so they can just run from them. But the shaman can be on hex duty if you want.
After we stopped laughing so hard, the tank just pulled, we lusted, and killed them all, despite the rogue dying. I had so wished it was ToGC10 so this RL could have gotten royally raped.
We killed Twins with 4 people alive.
THEN, on Anub, the RL reiterated that if you die to stupid shit, no loot for you. Enter P2, he gets owned by the spikes (he can vanish and sprint, and still dies? lol). His rogue dagger drops and still rolls on it even though everyone was telling him he can't get it. The hunter rolls on it, receives it, and then 2 seconds later receives an Abyss Crystal. The RL nerdraged and we were laughing all the way to Dal. -- "One can lead a child to knowledge, but one cannot make him think."

| reply to Kevlar I used to love back in vanilla when only alliance had pally's I'd chase one down with my hunter, get him to bubble, and calmly walk over and return the flag. Not so funny is watching both sides STILL do it. Or watching someone try to mount with the flag -- Hunting is a sport... except only one side knows it's playing - anon comedian

| reply to Derlos Something that made me laugh really hard in a TOC 25 pug the other day. The RL was my GM and we run alt runs through all the major raids each week to relax and have a bit of fun. This one particular round we got mostly guild alts and people who had missed the main run earlier in the week with only a few pugs so everyone knew what they were doing.
Anyway one of our rouges has a son that plays a hunter and wanted him to come along, he was reasonably geared so we said what the hell.
This kid just kept jumping on vent and asking the stupidest questions, talking over the top of the RL every 2 seconds, needless to say he annoyed the hell out of everyone but when its someones kid you can't really go off at them without creating dramas so we put up with it.
Now the fun part was this hunter kept bragging about how awesome he was and how many times he'd done this run. The RL gives him the super hard task of MDing the boss to the tank and the other hunters (who we trusted more) to get the frost.
We pull and see anub walk right to the back of the raid and 1 shot this hunter...
Turns out he MDed to himself.
Vent exploded in laughter and the guys dad logged straight away, poor guy, I guess its no easy having a total retard as a son! |
