| USB not recognizing devices except printer
I have a dell desktop running winXP home edition and I cant get the usb ports (all of them in the front of the computer) to recognize my camera pics via a usb adapter, or my ipod, etc..
I can attach usb devices but theres no "connectivity" so to speak/
The USB device indicates everything is ok thru task manager.
The ONLY device that works is a 3 in 1 printer thats hooked up to a USB port in the REAR of the machine.
Any ideas? |

| reply to datguy8 I take it you have installed the drivers that came with the devices or are you relying on WinXP to supply the device drivers?
If Mele20's suggestion does not work I would reinstall the drivers that came on the supplied discs for the camera and iPod then after reboot attach the devices and WinXP should recognize them. -- Humor. A difficult concept. |
