DIR-655 needs to be rebooted approx 1x a week-any alternate?

A customer is using DIR-655 on their DSL connection with several SIP phones and computers. Everything is great, except that about once a week they start having phone issues that get repaired with the reboot of the router. I use this router as well, and I experience similar issues with my internet lagging - also about once a week - and this is fixed by a router reboot.

Is this a known issue, and is there a fix?
Are there any other good quality QOS routers that work well with VOIP?

(note: this is a different issue than what I was previously experiencing where the router would hang under heavy load - turning off DNS relay fixed that)

Thanks!

Does rebooting the SIP phones/adapters resolve the issue just like rebooting the router does?

Is the WAN port speed locked or is it still set to AUTO?

So put me on a highway, and show me a sign.
And take it to the limit one more time...

1. No, rebooting the phones does not help.
2. Where is the WAN port speed setting?

It’s under Advanced/Advanced Network. FWIW I have a SPA-3000 VoIP adapter and have not had any issues

I had issues with a new DIR-655 Rev. A4 dropping packets and causing broken outgoing audio with SIP. Reverted back to a 5-year old DI-604 and the problem went away.
