Kontact and Google or Funambol?

Is there any way to sync Funambol with Kontact ?

Contacts, Addressbook, Calendar, notes?

If not Funambol then maybe Google?

Thanks

Jim

I tried to find some info on this earlier when I first read this but didn't have much luck. Kontact can use opensync plugins or whatever is invovled there so maybe something of that flavor will work?

You should be able to sync some of the google bits. If you have ubuntu there is a akonadi-kde-resource-googledata package that will sync your contacts and calendar. Should be something similar for other distros too. It's part of kdeextras afaik. I haven't tried it but it's something I could be making use of with akonadi since I got it working. If by chance you are on ubuntu and akonadi isn't working look into the /usr/lib/libjvm.so symlink or the lack of. It needs to point back to where the actual lib is.

It does work, install the akonadi googledata resource and restart akonadi if it's running then add the googledata resource and enter your login/pass and then you should be able to pick the akonadi resource in your contacts.
