| reply to hortnut said by hortnut :I find I get my free reports just as fast online. I do not like to do it online, as they seem to ask more questions of you that I am sure will end up in their databases. The credit reporting agencies already know far more about you that you would like. I didn't see any questions on annualcreditreport.com that the credit reporting agencies wouldn't already know the answers to. |

| reply to BoulderHill1 said by BoulderHill1 :Not hidden really. You just write them a letter and ask for the report. I do this once a year or so for the last 20 years. You can also call on the phone (one call gets all 3 reports) and get all 3 mailed to your home. No letters, no website forms to try to copy, but the printed reports in your hand usually in a week or two. I do it every Year.

| reply to bent As long as you've got a credit report from Experian, Transunion, or Equifax within the last 90 days, you could request an updated copy of your credit every day if you wanted.
With Experian....all you have to do is click on the VIEW REPORT AGAIN, and it will show you the most recent report as of that day......
Of course, you would have to have an original report you obtained from www.annualcreditreport.com to be able to view it again.
I request my EXPERIAN credit report every week. |

| reply to Ugly I tried to get my free credit report from TransUnion, but it said that I already had an account with them. I tried my usual junk u/p combos, but no luck. Then it had a lost u/p function that refused to accept my SS# / Name combo. Looks like their scamming the system to me. |

1 edit | reply to bent said by bent :said by c4junk : You get 1 report per year from the 3 different agency's- but that is report only, if you want credit score you have to pay-usually $5 or at some sites sign up for some (not free) credit monitor service. The only score that's worth paying anything for is from » www.myfico.comAnything else is worthless. You can pay $12 a month for credit monitoring that also gives you your FICO score anytime you want.
Also with credit monitoring you get emails anytime someone access your credit reports or there is any positve or negative info posted. |
