| [Modem] Recent DSL speed latency
I have recently purchased a new modem for my DSL Pro plan because my old modem died. I bought a new Motorola 2210-02. I hooked it up and things were running great, until my power went out in the house. And ever since then, the DSL is been a snail to loading websites and especially gaming/video streaming. I tried multiple times to reset the modem but nothing has worked. I think it might have something to do with the sticker saying, "Do not turn off modem at least until 10days have passed." I think I may have disrupted my speed allowance because of the power outage and I am unsure how to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also let me know what other info you made need from me from my modem if that may help. Thank you,

| That sticker is referring to the 10 days after you initially get DSL service. You're long past the point where the system is testing your connection.
It's possible that the modem was damaged by the power events. It's also possible that the timing of both things is just a coincidence.
Let's get your info and maybe there's something in there that will give us a clue. See the link at the top of the main forum page, where it says:

| Yeah, that's probably the best course of action. Once Direct fixes you up, please ask what they found and come back here and update this thread. I'm sure the regulars here would love to know what caused these strange numbers....it'll help us help the next person who comes along with this type of issue. |
