T-Mobile just confirmed that there is a global outage affecting voice services. Users are unable to make/receive phone calls. Seems to be nationwide.

I am able to make and receive calls.
I just called my work phone, that went through, but when I tried dialing my cell, it didn't work.

My BB is now showing GSM instead of SOS. I am able to dial out, but still cannot receive.

I can make calls to land lines, cell phones with other carriers but not to Tmobile cell phones.. |

My bb started this morning with all calls going straight to my vm. Rebooted and seemed fine. Then around 4:00 today, it started again.
I can call out to anybody not on T-Mobile and can get calls from people not using t-mobile.
I also have T-Mobile hotspot and same thing there. Can't call or talk to anyone with t-mobile.
Mine is also showing GSM instead of EDGE!
ARGH! and I was going to update my software tonight because I've been having problems with dropping calls whenever I go from wifi to EDGE.
I've about had it with this company and I thought Verizon was bad.....although I will say it is nice to talk to customer service in the states with T-Mobile....never got an American with Verizon during the years that I used them. |

I can't receive calls, or dial to t-mobile cell phones (only carrier I've tried), but I can call to landline phones.
Wonder if they'll do anything to compensate. I know last month my data plan was free because of the sidekick thing. Didn't really bother me because my sidekick broke a year ago and I kept the plan because of the unlimited texting for about the same price. |

Looks like it is just about fixed. I am now showing "uma" (not caps), and am able to make/receive calls.
Edit: Now I'm back to UMA and everything is working normally.

I have been tethering my netbook to my Dash 3G for the last 4.5 hours and it never skipped a beat. Just tried calling VM and my calling card access number and experienced no problems either. |

In my household, 1 T-Mobile cell works,the other does not. T-Mobile technician said Verizon and Comcast are also experiencing "global/nationwide outages," and has been going on for two hours. |
