 [Free] a-squared Anti-Malware 4.5 for free!

Exclusive offer on 11/11 at 11:11 (CET) - only 24h:

• Comprehensive PC protection against Trojans, Viruses, Spyware, Adware, Worms, Bots, Keyloggers, Rootkits and Dialers.
• 2 Cleaning Scanners in 1: Anti-Virus + Anti-Spyware
• 2 Guards against new infections: signature scan + behavior analysis

Anti-Virus, Anti-Trojan, Anti-Spyware, Anti-Worm and Anti-Dialer all in one. Contains a disk scanner to clean infected computers as well as a background guard which blocks new infections with the signature based onExecution scanner and the behavior based Malware-IDS. Includes Cookie guard and Auto-Update.

There are many anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-dialer software products but only a few of them can claim to provide effective protection from all types of Malware. The main reason for this is the eternal cat and mouse game played for decades between Malware programmers and the security industry. Normal security software is limited by the fact that it can only recognize Malware for which the manufacturer has already created a signature - assuming that the manufacture even has a copy of the Malware available for analysis.

Thanks, bookmarked this too... I use the free version and getting this would definitely be nice. Now if I remember to nab it on the 11th!

Thanks. Look like it's 6 hours ahead of Eastern Daylight Time in the U.S.

Interesting. Thanks for posting that. I use Mamutu which is comparable to a segment of A-squared AM. My subscription doesn't expire until next August, so I have to decide whether to take advantage of this or not, with the other stuff I already have running.

I am confused. I am using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v1.41 (free) in my old Windows XP Pro. machines.

What's the difference between these two?

IMHO MBAM is better less fp's and scans don't take for ever to run. These are the reasons why i stopped using a2 for some time now.

edit: i've also notice they didn't even list MBAM here

or here

so i am here wondering how can they claim to be the best when imho they haven't tested against the best which is MBAM.

Keep in mind though that MBAM Free doesn't run resident.
The paid version does.

Thanks. I will pass since I don't need resident feature. I am a demand and scan guy.

Most of those tests are for anti-viruses whereas MBAM is only an anti-malware. I doubt it would be a fair test if MBAM was included.

Don't let the "anti-malware" part of a-squared's name fool you. It includes the Ikarus engine so it's a full blown product like the others mentioned in the tests.

I'm not saying the test is accurate but it includes other similar products. I'm also not saying that MBAM isn't good because I know it's excellent at what it does.

Also, this is a Bump because the giveaway starts in 3 hours and 20 minutes which should be 5:11 a.m EST.
