Re: Looking for security alarm advice

it just dawned on me, are you saying you will use the wireless keypad included with the DSC kit? if so you are misreading it. the keypad is teh wireless rx for the sensors, it is not wireless in and of itself.

The Alexor 2-Way Wireless Panel PC9155 is wireless in it self. It support communication with (4) WT5500 keypads and (16) wireless keys

They will actually have to find the control panel and destroy it otherwise system will going off.
The panel should be protected in a zone without any entry delay, so the alarm will go off before anyone physically reaches the panel.

said by silentlooker See Profile I am going to tie in the smoke detectors in to my alarm. Would that not solve the problem with sprinklers in the event of leak? [/BQUOTE :

Certainly not! The smoke detectors will not go off just because a sprinkler system starts flowing water. As mentioned by others there definitely needs to be a flow switch in the sprinkler system.
