| CPU-Z & Core Temp Different Mhz from Everest
Ok so I am running 920 and Asus P6T Deluxe V2. I've set the AI Tweak to Manual and stepping to 21, Blck to 199. So I get about 4180Mhz according to BIOS boot, CPU-Z and CoreTemp, both CPU-Z and CoreTemp appear to be a dynamic CPU Freq read. Now Everest and 3Dmark06 show the "supposed correct" frequency of 20x199 and not 21x199 at around 3980Mhz. Also, CPU-Z maintains it's 21x199 Freq even with all cores loaded and HT on (As can be seen in the 2nd picture with Prime95).
Now what data is correct? CPU-Z, CoreTemp or Everest, 3Dmark06? |

| CPU-Z and CoreTemp are correct. They are actually reading the multi/bclk. Everest and 3Dmark are just reading the bclk then assuming you are on the default multi. -- DFI UT X58-T3eH8, 6GB GeIL PC3-10666, PC P&C 610, EVGA GTX280 SC, Core i7 920 @ 166 x 20, Noctua NH-U12P in Push-Pull, Mountain Mods H2GO |
