| Video converters ? - & ALSO Poss burn to DVD
I'm looking for good FREE software that will enable me to convert between different formats offline. Nothing too complicated just something that will get the job done reliably and fairly quickly.
Formats needed as of now are, FLV, AVI, MPEG, DIVX
Also which of these formats, if any, after burning would play on a non PC regular DVD player ?
Which format/s are best for burning to be viewed on these DVD players ?
Do i actually have to convert to DVD and burn to a DVD disk, or could burning one of the above formats to a CDR be viewed on a DVD player ?
Just trying to explore different possibilities.
Thanks |

I'm very surprised nobody seems to know anything at all about this ?
I would have thought there should be at least a few people who had experience with these subjects.
Maybe you missed the thread until now. It'd be nice to hear some suggestions. |

I'd also recommend perusing »www.videohelp.com/ -- the navigation on the left-hand side of the site seems to be very well-organized.
If you're burning to DVDs to be played on your run-of-the-mill DVD player (e.g no additional video formats like divx, etc) then yes, you would burn to DVD format. But since I never do this (I stream my videos to all my displays/TVs) I don't much more than that. |
