That is NEBS certified? |

| I've never heard of any such device, ever. A T1 uplink would imply a CSU/DSU and/or a router of some kind. Those plus a switch are usually mutually exclusive. You could get a CSU/DSU that has an ethernet handoff (really just a router in disguise) but as far as the switch is concerned there is no special port for it, you just plug that into any port you like. Also, what is NEBS? A google search revealed several possibilities. |

| Hi, There are products like that (or at least, were most of them discontinued). when refering to NEBS typically thinking of NEBS level 3 which is a mandatory requirment for equipment that is locatated in POPs and central offices. "NEBS Level 3" is a term from Bellcore special report, SR-3580. This report details 3 distinct functional levels of NEBS compliance based on GR-63-CORE and GR-1089-CORE. "NEBS Level 3" means the equipment is in the network for the long haul. We're talking about Carrier Class with this stringent level. The equipment will operate under the environmental extremes found in a central office. In a nutshell, the equipment meets all of the requirements of GR-63-CORE and GR-1089-CORE. |

| Ahhh ok. I gotta say, that wasn't one of the Google results lol. That's a bit out of my league though I have had some experience with higher end Cisco routers (I used to have a 7507 in my basement lol). It could take a T1 interface card as well as up to an OC3 I believe but I don't think it has a switch card. That's about the only way I could imagine you could get a T1 interface in a switch is if the switch were part of the router. Since no one here has responded you might want to take a peek in the TekSavvy forum and PM some of the people who work there like R0cky. They would probably know if such an animal exists anymore and if it meets your requirements. |
