Routing Options Question

I noticed that the available routing options from the "Call Log" tab are different than the options available on the "Incoming Call Routing" tab.

For example the incoming call routing tab has the option to setup "disconnected" and "simulring" where the call log tab does not have this feature.

Did in miss smomething?

No. This was an oversight when we introduced the new routing options in May.

I'm guessing not many others use that link as you're the only person to notice a discrepancy in all this time.

If you log into your CP, you'll see a fix has been deployed correcting it.

Thanks, Josh. Will check it out when I get back to my PC.

Thanks. Yes it looks good.
Reason I noticed it was that We just did a number change ( long story) on one of our accounts and with in 30 minutes the calls started rolling in: Green Tree Service, 1-800-xxx-xxxx, NCO, PUBLSVR09 , etc etc etc.

I guess the person who had the number before did not take very good care of "things".

A lot easier to make the unwanted number look "disconnected" from the call log than the incoming call routing tab.

Not true Josh! I reported it in ticket JJX-55009 on May 15th. I have a few other on-hold tickets from the beta-lab. Has anyone looked at those ?

Beta Lab tickets are one of the best ways for me to determine if new features are working as intended. Additionally, we get a lot of great input and suggestions, so I try to look at them daily.

I'm not sure why JJX-55009 was put on hold. It was literally a 30 second fix - I wouldn't have waited 5 months if I had seen it in May

Well I see you updated my ticket. Nice.

Maybe I'll see if I can break anything else.

Anything new planned soon for the lab?

Hi Josh,
I something now broken on adding a routing from the call log screen functionality? When I click on routing in the call logs and either change a routing or add a routing, it does not seem to "take".

The new routed number does not show on the call routing list and if I go back to the call log screen, click routing, it is not showing the changes I had previously made. I also can not change any routes from the call log screen.

Yesterday I could add routes to the list and modify them from the call log screen, just that certain ones were not in the drop down list.

Hmm, I didn't have this problem with my test account after the change was rolled out. I think I see what might be causing an issue, though. A fix will be rolled out Monday.

Since the 'Call Log' routing seems to have gotten taken care of, I thought I would point out that the call routing in the groups area of the Contact manager is different from the "Incoming Call Routing" tab (and Call Log, for that matter).

I particularly would like to be able to send Survey and Telemarketers to a disconnected message en masse without having to program each one.

... and for that matter, the full range of routing options is also not available on the Anonymous Call Block pulldown. Be nice if it were fixed there too.
