| Media Manager won't play music
Media manager used to work great till they started upgrading it . Now I can't get my mp3 files to play at all. I've reinstalled, rebooted and just about anything else you might imagine and no luck. I'm running win xp sr2 if it matters. thanks in advance |

I don't have media manager but would wonder how a wireless link would affect playing MP3s? -- Never raise your hands to your kids. It leaves your groin unprotected. -- Red Buttons |

| media manager is transcoding on the fly a 3vix real time transcoder that runs at a low processor priority, anything else running on the PC will take thread resources from 3vix and impair performance. One could open task manager and raise the priority of the process for that session, but you would have to do it for each new video. Also - although you can adjust the bitrate that the PC streams videos to the STB - it only works if you are hard wired; if you are running wireless it limits the rate to the "Default" setting.
Default - 1mbps Med - 2mbps Med-High - 3mbps High - 5mbps -- I'm not as good as I once was but I'm as good once as i ever was. |
