I am getting antsy, I know but I have seen FiOS trucks around DC the last few days and am curious when the ETA is for actual implementation for some of the so-called early areas |

That is the latest official info available. You might be able to get a more precise target by calling them yourself and asking when it will be available for your service address. (Be sure to post your neighborhood and the response you get so others can know, too.)

I talked to 2 apartment owners in Woodley Park and Cleveland Park today about possible FiOS in the future and neither had a clue about it.
I was UNDER the assumption that FiOS was possible within 2 years at these places but neither owner (both head managers) knew anything about FiOS wanting to be a part of their buildings. |

Just an FYI, Verizon has updated several DSL lines near the Woodley Park area
Mine, along with a few others NEAR me (other buildings that is) have seen upgrades to 7.1 in the last 2 weeks
So, those with less on their DSL should check to see if an upgrade is possible. |
