| Shaw blocked torrents.thepiratebay.org
I can't download any of the torrents from thepiratebay.org, will always give a "Problem loading page, The connection was reset" message.
However the same torrents can be downloaded from other torrent sites. I am suspecting Shaw has blocked certain port of thepiratebay.org.
Any other shaw users have encountered the same problem ? |

| No.. just.. no
have you had anyone try on a different ISP to see if its possibly TPB having issues?
i was having similar issues with TPB last night, but it just seemed like the pretty common problems that generally pop up every few weeks with the site.
Shaw isnt doing anything with the sites "ports" |

Maybe your IT guys are blocking URLs... assuming you work somewhere with IT guys. |

@shawcable.net | reply to shawBTuser I just noticed the same thing today. I can search all of the piratebay, but once i go to 'download torrent' i get a 'cannot display page'. A keyword search of 'shaw blocked piratebay' brought up this discussion. i hope they havent blocked the site. |

As of this time, it's not just Shaw. the subdomain is unreachable. |

The connection was reset That looks like it is TCP disruptive reset flag packet that sounds like that Shaw ISP were sending you a TCP reset flag set packet to shut you down instantly like TCP reset kills your connection so instantly without notice or acknowledge necessary. And I placed an implemented of iptables firewall to lid a filter on the TCP disruptive reset flag set packets for inbound downstream that really works for me, I'm Linux user and I'm completely satisfied with my set up a way of design that I created a custom setting of my iptables firewall that is filtering TCP RST packets be dropped anytime without disrupting my productivity of an internet so I have very smoothly speeds and I have a peace P.S. I use Cox high speed cable of an internet -- Professional Linux environmental blows microsoft windows out of the water. |

| I'd noticed that TPB web site were went down so I checked with ICMP ping to scout out at TPB that seems looks like totally be down but unfortunately, Shaw ISP may want to start with filtering with TCP RST at Shaw's consumers if Shaw choose to do so that's their own networks as belong to Shaw ISP. -- Professional Linux environmental blows microsoft windows out of the water. |

| reply to shawBTuser what? has everyone been hiding under a rock. pirate bay was being sued and lost so they have to shut their tracker server down. thats why pirate bay torrent doesn't work. pirate bay torrent tracker has been in what they call "zombie mode" which mean no one is keeping it working in perfect order since the own gave up on it waiting for the deadline for the server shutoff date. which happen at the beginning of november 2009. so bye bye the pirate bay |
