said by Matt :said by ptrowski :said by Matt :I'm playing it on the PC (still in the Fade) and I think it's stunning so far. I'm only 30 minutes or so in, but the graphics are top notch as is everything else I've experienced to date. Perhaps it's not the type of RPG you enjoy? Oh I do like them, that is why my disappointment level is where it is. I meant more this specific type of RPG? Did you enjoy Neverwinter Nights and Balder's Gate? In my limited play so far, I see elements of both, but with much better graphics and tons more voice. I have not played them to be honest, but RPG's as a whole I enjoy. I was just reading the IGN review and they mention the console versions are only a 7.5 for graphics. I would imagine as I play more it will pick up, but it will be tough as Borderlands is a great game and MW2 is looming. -- "So, Lone Starr, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb."

Bioware offers a "unique" RPG experience, nothing else is like it. Some people like it, some hate it. I like it because it's much more story driven, but again, I've only played this one about 30 minutes so I might be right back in here agreeing with you when I get some time to really dive in. |

| reply to Ash3r The commercials is as far as I have seen and it looks good. Will see if they have a demo and play it. Man....Dragon Age, MW2, and Assassins Creed II. So close to Christmas, two of these are going to have to be put on the back burner. -- How about them Cowboys!

| reply to Ash3r I bought the PS3 Collectors version today. I have no idea why - I'm not usually a Collectors edition buyer. The cloth map inside was old school. It reminded me of being a kid when the Ultima games would come out.
I also can't believe I didn't buy it for the PC. I am an old hard core PC gamer and RPG's are meant for the PC. But, in my old age, a Lazy Boy and big LCD are a hard combo to pass up on.
360 version... I haven't turned on my 360 in about 7 months. I've been thinking about selling it actually. |

The Gamespot reviewer thought it was bad enough to point it out, but I think he said it didn't really detract from the overall game. -- trafficcloak.com - pptp/sstp vpn services |

| reply to Skand I'm about 2 hours into the game now on the PS3. I can remember seeing a sort of brief "studder" maybe 2 or 3 times for maybe 1 sec each max. It is something I noticed, but not something I would consider an ender or anything.
Like pretty much everyone says get it on PC if you have one that can meet (or beat) the recommended specs, but the PS3 version at least for me has been fine (once you get used to the controls).
Side question - anyone know if DA on PS3 supports mouse / Keyboard? Know we can just plug in USB devices, but anyone know if DA has that support? |

| I will say this about the PC version, their recommended system requirements are no joke.
I have the following system and it's not as smooth as I'd like at 1920x1080. My CPU frequently spikes to 89% or so total usage. That is across all 4 cores! My CPU hovers around 50% total usage on average. I know my video card is relatively weak, but I don't have anything like FSAA turned on.

| reply to Matt I picked it up last night for the ps3 and have played around 5 hours or so. This story really sucks you in!
I see the framerate stutters and it's mildly annoying. It's usually in the cut scenes, so it's not really a big deal. The graphics are nothing compared to Uncharted, but they are way better than any of those hi-res videos might lead you to believe. |

Anyone want to share some of their combat tactics? I was having trouble dying (often) until I set my teams tactics to focus fire the enemies down. |
