| GI mag now blows chunks?
I know that their website does now. The website is Beta? It looks like they are trying to turn the site into Twitter/blog now. The new GI logo looks suspiciously like Engadget logo too. Very original there GI.
They got rid of my favorite part too, the Review Archive.
I guess the big surprise for the magazine's relaunch in Nov will be Mickey Mouse according to the Oct issue of GI. Seriously?
I tried to post this rant in the GI "Forum" but I got a message that I haven't accumuliated enough "GI points" yet to post! LoL.

I got my yearly subscription to GI just so I could get the Edge card, looked through a few issues, bleh, that and for three months in a row they didn't even mail out my mag. For all I'm concerned GI is complete garbage.
OTOH the Edge card has already paid itself off, so I'll probably subscribe again and save more than $15 a year over at Game Stop. |

Well I definitely do not like GameStop, and do not like GameStop's affiliation with GI of course.
But I like the mag, mainly for the reviews which I usually find to be accurate for me at least. This is why for me it sucks that the review archive went away, since I used the archive as a tool to see what older games I still want to play.
But with all of the changes for the worse, it might be time to end our relationship. |

The magazine has always been a bit lacking, but for a free mag when signing up for the Edge card, its worth reading.

You get a free subscription when you get your Edge card..
They are also pretty loose with giving them out at Game Stops...
Id be interested to see if that "#1" ranking is based on circulation or paid circulation and if they call people who get Edge cards subscribers.
