|  Slow speeds after upgrading to 12 or 18 meg internet | XP OS
Seems that some XP OS machines are not getting the full speed after upgrading from ADSL or lower speed tier U-Verse. If you upgrade to the 12 or 18 meg package and see slow speeds.
Use these two sites to verify speedtests. Check the two closest cities. I prefer speakeasy right now over AT&T's servers.

Also run a tweak test here on BBR - »/tweaks make sure to put 12000 or 18000 in the speed. You can use DSL for type of service.
Basically what will be needed is download of Dr. TCP on the tweak page. Increasing your RWIN value for the network card you use to connect to the RG so wireless or wired. Save the settings and reboot the device. |

| I started out with 12 MBs in September and then was talked into 18 MBs this month. I used the Speakeasy test before and after the change and saw no difference in speed.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have never seen a download speed greater than 17.8 MBs, upload is a little less than 1.5MBs no matter which city I try.
Once the free offer to upgrade to 18MBs in over, I will drop it.

clubs: | You won't see greater than 18megs, 17.8 is the max you'll see. Same with the upload it will be just below 1.5. The upload is the same on the 12 & 18. |
