Help on internet speed

Ok, so i play the game Call of Duty 4 daily. I play with many people. The way that the connectivity works is it shows your ms (millisecond) respond time. Usually people have from 40 -90 ms. I have 200 ms. My download speed is 2.7 mb/s and my upload speed is about 907 kb/s. Why is my ms so high?

Do you have your DSL running in the fastpath mode? That fastpath mode brings lower latency but DSL may not give you a fastpath depends on your phone loop line conditions. On my cable modem there are NO rule modes because that cable modem does not have any problems.
