| FVS318G Throughput
I got an FVS318G last week and I have noticed that the WAN to LAN throughput seems to be significantly slower than two other routers I compared it to.
One of the others was a D-Link DGL-4100. The other was a friend's Linksys but I don't recall the model. All have gigabit ports on the LAN side. The FVS318G has a gigabit port on the WAN side and the other two have 10/100 WAN ports. All were using default settings.
When measuring LAN-LAN throughput (copying large files from one PC to another) all three had about equal throughput. But when measuring WAN-LAN (downloading a large file from a web site and running speed tests from this site) the FVS318G had a throughput about 1/3 slower than the other two. That's a rather large difference.
Any ideas on why this may be the case or if there's anything (a setting) I can do about it?
